Question 1

What is The Codx and where are you based?

Accepted Answer

The Codx is a Dubai-based software and digital agency with the tagline "Built to Scale." We specialise in mobile app development, web platform development, marketplace apps, SaaS platforms, and digital marketing for businesses across UAE, India, UK, and US. Our team brings 15+ years of combined technology experience across iOS, Android, React Native, React, Node.js, and Django.

Question 2

How many projects has The Codx delivered?

Accepted Answer

The Codx has delivered 350+ projects across UAE, India, UK, and the US. Our live products include car rental aggregators, salon booking apps, laundry marketplace platforms, food delivery apps, hospital management systems, and custom SaaS platforms. Every project is built to scale from day one.

Question 3

Does The Codx work with startups or only established businesses?

Accepted Answer

We work with both. For startups, we specialise in MVP development — getting a working product to market fast without over-engineering. For established businesses, we build scalable platforms that handle growth. Clients range from first-time founders in Dubai to multi-location enterprises across UAE and India.

Question 4

What industries does The Codx serve?

Accepted Answer

We have built production apps for: on-demand delivery and logistics, food and restaurant tech, healthcare and clinic management, automotive and car rental, beauty and salon booking, laundry and home services, real estate, and e-commerce. If your business operates in UAE, we understand your market and compliance requirements.

Question 5

Can The Codx build an iOS and Android app for my business in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We build native iOS apps in SwiftUI, native Android apps in Jetpack Compose, and cross-platform apps using React Native — a single codebase that runs on both iOS and Android. For most Dubai SMEs and startups, React Native is the right choice: faster to build, cheaper to maintain, and virtually identical in performance to native for most use cases.

Question 6

How much does it cost to build a mobile app in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

App development costs in Dubai range from AED 15,000 for a simple MVP to AED 150,000+ for a full marketplace platform. The main variables are: number of user roles (customer, vendor, admin), backend complexity (real-time tracking, payments, notifications), and whether you need both iOS and Android. We provide a fixed-scope quote after a free discovery call — no ambiguous hourly billing.

Question 7

How much does a WordPress website cost in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

WordPress website development starts from AED 3,500 for a professional small business site built on a proven theme with custom branding, contact forms, and basic SEO setup. This is separate from our custom web development minimum, since WordPress lets us deliver a polished, functional site faster and at lower cost using an established platform rather than building everything from scratch.

Question 8

How much does a Shopify store cost in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Shopify store setup starts from AED 4,500, covering store setup, theme customization, product upload assistance, and payment gateway integration. For more complex stores — custom features, large catalogues, or third-party integrations — costs scale up from there based on scope, which we confirm with a fixed-price quote after a free discovery call.

Question 9

How much does ad management cost in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Ad management starts from AED 2,500 per month, covering campaign setup, ongoing optimization, and reporting across Google Ads and social platforms. This is a management fee separate from your actual ad spend budget. Pricing scales with the number of platforms and campaigns we are actively managing for you.

Question 10

How long does it take to build a mobile app?

Accepted Answer

A focused MVP with 2–3 core features takes 6–10 weeks. A full marketplace app with vendor, customer, and admin panels typically takes 12–20 weeks. Timeline depends on scope clarity, feedback speed, and third-party integrations (payment gateways, maps, SMS). We use agile sprints so you see working builds every 2 weeks — not just a final delivery months later.

Question 11

Does The Codx build React Native apps?

Accepted Answer

React Native is our primary cross-platform framework. We have shipped multiple production React Native apps on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store — including a car rental aggregator (DriveHub), a salon booking app (Mantis Salons), and a food management system (Zabehaty). We use Expo SDK for rapid development and bare React Native for performance-critical builds.

Question 12

Can you build a marketplace app like Deliveroo or Talabat for the UAE?

Accepted Answer

Yes — marketplace apps with multi-vendor management, real-time order tracking, delivery logic, and UAE payment gateway integration (Stripe, Tap Payments, PayFort) are a core strength of The Codx. We have built Zomato-style food ordering apps and Uber-style on-demand service platforms. We handle the full stack: iOS app, Android app, vendor dashboard, and backend API.

Question 13

What web technologies does The Codx use?

Accepted Answer

Our standard stack for web platforms: React or Next.js for the frontend, Node.js or Django (Python) for the backend API, PostgreSQL or MongoDB for the database, and AWS EC2 with Nginx for hosting. For e-commerce, we also build on Shopify and WooCommerce. We choose the stack based on your scale requirements — not our comfort zone.

Question 14

Can The Codx build a SaaS platform for my business?

Accepted Answer

SaaS platform development is one of our specialities. We have built multi-tenant SaaS tools with role-based access, subscription billing via Stripe, white-label capabilities, and analytics dashboards. Whether you are productising an internal tool or launching a B2B SaaS in the UAE market, we architect it for multi-tenant scale from the start.

Question 15

Do you build e-commerce websites in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We build e-commerce on Shopify (fastest to launch), WooCommerce (content-heavy stores), and fully custom React + Node.js storefronts (for high-traffic or complex catalogue requirements). All our UAE e-commerce builds include Arabic RTL support, UAE payment gateway integration, and VAT-compliant checkout flows.

Question 16

Does The Codx run Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads for Dubai businesses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We manage Meta Ads campaigns for UAE clients across food & beverage, healthcare, real estate, and e-commerce. Our service includes audience research, creative production, campaign setup, and weekly performance reporting. We also have a proprietary AI-powered campaign analysis tool that benchmarks your ads against competitors and generates optimised copy recommendations.

Question 17

Can you do SEO for a Dubai-based business?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our SEO service covers technical SEO (page speed, schema markup, structured data), on-page optimisation (keyword targeting, content clusters), and off-page authority building (directory listings, backlinks). For UAE businesses, we also optimise for Arabic search terms and Google Business Profile for local map pack rankings. We do not sell vanity rankings — we target keywords your actual customers search.

Question 18

What is AIEO and does The Codx optimise for AI search engines?

Accepted Answer

AIEO stands for AI Engine Optimisation — making your brand appear in answers generated by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Gemini, and Claude when users ask about your industry. In Dubai, where ChatGPT usage is among the highest per capita globally, AIEO is becoming as important as traditional SEO. The Codx implements AIEO through structured FAQ content, schema markup, llms.txt, authoritative directory listings, and consistent brand mentions across the web — signals AI engines use to cite businesses.

Question 19

How does The Codx handle a new project from start to finish?

Accepted Answer

Our process has four stages: (1) Discovery — we map your requirements, user flows, and tech stack in a paid discovery session that produces a full specification document. (2) Design — UI/UX wireframes and high-fidelity Figma designs, reviewed and approved before development starts. (3) Development — agile sprints with working builds shared every 2 weeks. (4) Launch & Support — deployment, App Store/Play Store submission, and a 30-day post-launch support window.

Question 20

Does The Codx offer post-launch support and maintenance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After launch we offer monthly retainer packages covering bug fixes, dependency updates, performance monitoring, and feature additions. For apps on the Apple App Store or Google Play, we handle re-submissions and OS compatibility updates as iOS and Android release new versions. You are never left alone after go-live.

Question 21

Can I hire The Codx as a dedicated development team?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Beyond project-based engagements, we offer dedicated team arrangements where our developers work exclusively on your product — ideal for funded startups or businesses with an ongoing product roadmap. You get direct Slack access, daily standups, and full code ownership. No agency mark-up games.

Question 22

Do you sign NDAs and who owns the code?

Accepted Answer

We sign NDAs before any discovery discussion. On project completion and final payment, you receive 100% ownership of all source code, design files, and deployment credentials. We do not retain any IP. All repositories are transferred to your GitHub or Bitbucket organisation.

Question 23

Can The Codx work with clients outside Dubai and UAE?

Accepted Answer

Yes. While we are based in Dubai, we work with clients across India, UK, and US. All project communication runs over Slack or WhatsApp, with weekly video calls. We have successfully delivered projects across time zones — our Dubai location actually makes us well-positioned for both European morning and Asian afternoon calls.

Question 24

Does The Codx offer fixed-price projects or hourly billing?

Accepted Answer

We primarily work on fixed-price, fixed-scope contracts — you know the cost before we start and it does not change unless scope changes. For ongoing product development with evolving requirements, we offer monthly retainers at a fixed team cost. We do not do open-ended hourly billing where the final number is a surprise.

Question 25

What is the minimum budget to work with The Codx?

Accepted Answer

Our minimum project size is AED 10,000 for web projects and AED 18,000 for mobile apps. Below that threshold, the scope is usually too thin to build something that will actually work in the market. We would rather advise you honestly on scope than take a small budget and deliver something that cannot scale.

Question 26

How do payments work for a project?

Accepted Answer

We split project payments into milestones: 30% to start, 30% at design sign-off, 30% at development completion, and 10% on final delivery. No single large upfront payment. Payments can be made via bank transfer (UAE or international), and we issue proper VAT-compliant invoices from our UAE trade licence.

Question 27

Where is The Codx office located in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

The Codx operates from Dubai, UAE. We serve clients across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and the wider GCC. For project discussions, we meet in person in Dubai or via Google Meet / Zoom for clients elsewhere. Contact us at thecodx.com or call +971 50 285 2701.

Question 28

How do I get a quote from The Codx?

Accepted Answer

The fastest way is to fill in the contact form on thecodx.com with a brief description of what you want to build. We respond within 4 business hours with either a direct quote for straightforward projects or a request for a discovery call for complex builds. No commitment required for the initial consultation.

Question 29

Does The Codx implement SAP Business One in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are a certified SAP Business One implementation partner in Dubai, handling full setup, data migration, customization, and training for UAE SMEs. A typical SAP B1 implementation with us goes live within 8 weeks, depending on the number of modules and complexity of your existing data.

Question 30

What is the difference between SAP Business One and NetSuite for a UAE business?

Accepted Answer

SAP Business One is generally better suited to businesses needing deep manufacturing or inventory control, while NetSuite offers stronger native multi-currency and multi-entity support, which suits UAE businesses trading across the GCC or internationally. We help clients choose based on their actual operational needs during a free discovery call rather than pushing one platform by default.

Question 31

Can The Codx migrate our business from Tally or Excel to a proper ERP system?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this is one of our most common ERP engagements. We handle full data migration from Tally, Excel, or legacy systems into SAP Business One, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics 365, including data cleaning and validation before go-live to make sure historical records transfer accurately.

Question 32

How long does a Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation take in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

A standard Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation for a single-location UAE business typically takes 8-12 weeks. Multi-branch or multi-entity implementations take longer, depending on how many locations and workflows need to be configured and tested.

Question 33

Does The Codx offer ongoing ERP support after go-live?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ERP implementations include a post-go-live support period, and we offer ongoing support retainers afterward for user training, report customization, and troubleshooting as your business processes evolve.

Question 34

Can an ERP system integrate with our existing e-commerce store?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly integrate ERP systems like SAP Business One and NetSuite with e-commerce platforms including Shopify and WooCommerce, so inventory, orders, and customer data sync automatically without manual double entry.

Question 35

Is Odoo a good ERP choice for a small UAE business?

Accepted Answer

Odoo can be a cost-effective ERP choice for smaller UAE businesses needing core modules like accounting, inventory, and CRM without the higher licensing cost of SAP or NetSuite. We help assess whether Odoo genuinely fits your specific operational complexity before recommending it.

Question 36

How much does ERP implementation cost in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

ERP implementation costs vary significantly based on the platform, number of users, modules required, and data migration complexity. A focused SAP Business One implementation for a small UAE business typically starts in the tens of thousands of AED, scaling up for multi-branch or highly customized deployments. We provide a fixed-scope quote after understanding your specific requirements.

Question 37

Can The Codx customize ERP reports and dashboards for our management team?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Custom reporting and dashboard configuration is a core part of our ERP implementations, so your management team gets the specific visibility into sales, inventory, or finances they actually need, rather than generic default reports.

Question 38

What happens if our ERP implementation partner disappears after go-live?

Accepted Answer

This is a real risk in the UAE ERP market, which is why we provide full documentation and structured handover materials with every implementation. If you have had this experience with a previous partner, we also help clients stabilize and take over existing ERP systems rather than starting from scratch.

Question 39

Can The Codx build an AI chatbot for my website in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We build AI chatbots configured specifically on your business's real information - services, pricing, and policies - rather than generic responses, with a clear path to a human team member when needed. We also support WhatsApp AI agents, since WhatsApp is heavily used for business communication in the UAE.

Question 40

Can AI be added to an app or website I already have?

Accepted Answer

In most cases yes. AI features like chatbots, recommendation engines, or automation can often be integrated into an existing platform without a full rebuild, depending on your current technical architecture. We assess this during a free discovery call.

Question 41

Does The Codx build custom GPT or Claude integrations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We build custom integrations with GPT, Claude, and other large language model APIs into real business products - customer support tools, internal automation, and content generation workflows tailored to your specific use case rather than generic wrappers.

Question 42

How much does it cost to add an AI feature to a Dubai business app?

Accepted Answer

A simple AI chatbot handling FAQ-style questions is the most affordable entry point. More sophisticated implementations integrating with your booking system or CRM cost more, reflecting the additional integration work. We scope this transparently based on your specific use case rather than a flat rate.

Question 43

Can The Codx build AI-powered automation for internal business processes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We build automation for repetitive internal tasks - document processing, data entry, report generation, and workflow triggers - using AI where it genuinely adds value, based on an honest assessment of your actual bottlenecks.

Question 44

Is an AI chatbot better than live chat with a real person?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the use case. AI chatbots excel at handling repetitive questions instantly, at any hour, in multiple languages. Complex or emotionally sensitive interactions still benefit from human judgment. A well-designed system uses AI for routine questions and hands off to a human when needed.

Question 45

Can an AI agent complete multi-step tasks like booking or CRM updates automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this is what's known as agentic AI - AI that completes a sequence of actions rather than just answering a question. We build these for UAE businesses looking to automate processes like appointment booking, follow-up sequences, and CRM data updates.

Question 46

Does The Codx offer AI readiness audits for existing websites?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We assess whether your current website and content structure are set up well for AI-driven search tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, and recommend specific technical and content changes to improve visibility in AI-generated answers.

Question 47

Will AI chatbots understand Arabic as well as English?

Accepted Answer

Modern AI chatbots built on current language models handle both Arabic and English conversationally, though quality can vary by provider. We test specifically with real, business-relevant questions in both languages before launch.

Question 48

How long does it take to build and launch an AI chatbot?

Accepted Answer

A basic AI chatbot handling common questions can typically go live within a few weeks. More complex implementations integrating with existing business systems take longer, depending on the specific integrations required.

Question 49

Should I use Shopify or build a custom e-commerce platform?

Accepted Answer

Shopify is the right choice for most UAE businesses starting out or with a moderate product catalogue, since it offers fast launch and lower cost. A custom platform makes sense once you need functionality Shopify's standard themes and apps genuinely cannot support, such as complex multi-vendor marketplace logic.

Question 50

Can The Codx set up UAE-compliant payment gateways for my online store?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We integrate UAE-compatible payment gateways along with proper VAT-compliant checkout configuration, so your store handles local tax requirements correctly from launch.

Question 51

Does The Codx build multi-vendor marketplace platforms?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have built multi-vendor marketplace platforms with separate vendor, customer, and admin roles, including commission handling and vendor payout logic, for clients across UAE and India.

Question 52

How long does it take to launch a Shopify store in Dubai?

Accepted Answer

A standard Shopify store setup, including theme customization and initial product upload, typically launches within 2-4 weeks, assuming product information and images are provided promptly.

Question 53

Can The Codx migrate my existing store from WooCommerce to Shopify, or vice versa?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We handle e-commerce platform migrations including product data, customer records, and order history, with careful validation to make sure nothing is lost or corrupted during the move.

Question 54

Does The Codx support Arabic and right-to-left layouts for online stores?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We build e-commerce stores with proper Arabic language support and right-to-left layout handling, which is essential for reaching UAE and wider GCC customers effectively.

Question 55

Can you integrate my online store with local UAE delivery and logistics providers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We integrate e-commerce platforms with UAE logistics and delivery providers to automate shipping label generation, tracking updates, and delivery status notifications for customers.

Question 56

What is the real cost difference between Shopify and Magento for a UAE store?

Accepted Answer

Shopify is generally faster and cheaper to launch, suited to most small and mid-sized UAE retailers. Magento offers deeper customization for large, complex catalogues but requires significantly more development and ongoing technical maintenance, making it better suited to larger enterprise operations.

Question 57

Can The Codx add a subscription or recurring billing model to my online store?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We implement subscription and recurring billing functionality on both Shopify and custom-built e-commerce platforms, depending on your existing technical setup.

Question 58

Does The Codx provide ongoing e-commerce store maintenance after launch?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer ongoing maintenance covering security updates, plugin or app management, and performance monitoring, so your store stays fast and secure well after the initial launch.

Question 59

Does The Codx conduct penetration testing for existing websites and apps?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We provide professional penetration testing and VAPT services for businesses in Dubai, identifying vulnerabilities in existing websites, apps, and APIs before attackers do, with a clear remediation report afterward.

Question 60

What ongoing support is included after my website or app launches?

Accepted Answer

Every project includes a post-launch support period for fixes and adjustments. Beyond that period, we offer ongoing maintenance retainers covering updates, monitoring, and content changes, scoped to your specific needs.

Question 61

Is my website's data secure with The Codx?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We implement standard security practices including SSL configuration, secure authentication, and regular security updates across every project, with additional hardening available for businesses handling sensitive customer or payment data.

Question 62

Can The Codx take over and stabilize a website built by a previous developer?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is a common engagement for us - auditing existing code, identifying issues, and stabilizing a website or app before continuing development, particularly for clients who had a difficult experience with a previous freelancer or agency.

Question 63

Does The Codx sign an NDA before discussing my project?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we are happy to sign a mutual NDA before any detailed project discussion, particularly for clients with sensitive business logic or proprietary processes they want protected before engaging us.

Question 64

Who owns the code and intellectual property once my project is complete?

Accepted Answer

You do. Our contracts explicitly transfer code and intellectual property ownership to the client upon project completion and final payment, so you retain full control of what we build for you.
